DJI Mic Mini (1 TX + 1 RX)

With an ultra-compact form factor and broad device compatibility, the DJI Mic Mini is designed to help content creators capture enhanced audio for their next vlog, livestream, or social media video. The system can communicate with your DSLR/mirrorless camera or iOS/Android smartphone via wired or wireless connectivity. It can capture clear and reliable audio from an extended distance of 400m via a tiny clip-on omnidirectional microphone/transmitter. The tiny receiver can be mounted on your camera or connected directly to the Lighting/USB port of a smartphone or laptop using the USB-C port or a separately available mobile phone adapter.

Wired and wireless connectivity

Like the Mic 2, the Mic Mini features both 2.4GHz digital wireless and Bluetooth technology. Bluetooth allows you to connect the transmitters to the DJI Mimo app via an iOS or Android device. You can even connect directly to the Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 4, or Osmo Action 5 Pro camera. Toggle different settings via the Mimo app, such as noise cancellation and audio limiting. Both 3.5mm TRS and USB-C connections are available on the receiver unit for connection to a wide range of devices. An included 3.5mm TRS camera audio cable makes it easy to connect to your camera and synchronizes the receiver’s power with that of the camera. When connected to your mobile device via USB-C, both the receiver and your smartphone can be charged simultaneously, and clips can be reviewed using external playback.

Wireless recording with drone

The Mic Mini is also wirelessly compatible with the DJI Neo drone using the DJI Fly app. Connect the Mic Mini to your smartphone’s Bluetooth and open the DJI Fly app to record audio. The app also automatically eliminates propeller noise and merges the recorded audio with your footage.

Portable and handheld microphones

• For a truly wireless experience, easily attach the transmitter to anything you wear via the built-in back clip without having to wire yourself or your talent. Other options include magnetic attachment and lanyard with separately available accessories.
• The transmitter weighs only 10g, ensuring it won’t weigh down your collar or fold out for a pleasing appearance on camera.
• The built-in microphone features an omnidirectional pickup pattern that ensures reliable speech recording, even if the microphone placement is not ideal – your subject’s voice is recorded with clarity, sharpness and consistency.
• Furry protectors are provided to effectively suppress wind noise while still recording clear sound.

Intuitive controls

• Use the transmitter’s built-in controls to switch between two levels of noise cancellation. The Basic level is ideal for quiet indoor spaces, reducing noise from fans, air conditioning units, and other reverberant noises while preserving vocals. The Strong level is ideal for noisy environments and reduces ambient noise for clearer vocals.
• Enable automatic limiting to reduce the volume of the audio input, preventing clipping and ensuring reliable sound quality. This eliminates the need to adjust settings on the fly.
• When all else fails, you can quickly adjust five levels of amplification using the dial on the receiver unit.
• Safety track recording is available when you anticipate potential interference, recording a second track 6 dB lower to ensure you have usable audio in fluctuating environments.

Extended battery life

Built-in rechargeable batteries in both the transmitter and receiver offer a long operating time of 11.5 and 10.5 hours respectively. Charge the units for just five minutes for an additional 1 hour of use when both are depleted with the included charging cradle. In the DJI Mimo app, you can enable auto-off for the system, causing both devices to automatically turn off after 15 minutes if they are not connected, preserving your battery life.
