Why is pulse oximeter important to have in home?
Pulse oximeters measure the oxygen saturation level in our body. It is a painless and harmless test that helps us understand how well our heart is working to supply our body with oxygen.
How to use an Oximeter
Place the battery at the back of oximeter and press the main button.
Place your finger, earlobe, or toe inside the oximeter clip. You may feel a small amount of pressure, but there will not be any pain or pinching. Stay relaxed and calm.
If the screen is facing away from you, press the main button to rotate the screen towards you.
Hold your finger in position for as long as needed to monitor your pulse and oxygen saturation. Remove your finger once your readings are displayed.
