Can PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player only play on my home Wi-Fi network?
While your home Wi-Fi network represents a great option for using PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player because you have control over the quality of your own home Wi-Fi, it is not required. PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player can also be played anywhere you have access to Wi-Fi broadband internet with at least 5 Mbps.
For the best playback experience, a high-speed connection of at least 15 Mbps is recommended. If you use public Wi-Fi, be aware that the quality of your internet connection may be out of control and may affect the quality of your gaming experience.
Is a PlayStation Plus subscription required to use PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player and PlayStation® Remote Play?
No, using PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player and PlayStation® Remote Play does not require a PlayStation Plus subscription. If you use Remote Play to play a game that requires a PS Plus subscription to access multiplayer, then you must have an active subscription to access the multiplayer features of that game.
Can someone else use the TV my PS5 is connected to while I’m using the PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player?
Yes they can. For example, someone else in your home could be watching a show or movie on TV while you use the PlayStation Portal™ Remote Player to play your favorite compatible games on the gorgeous 8″ HD screen.
